Case Review Services - Blind Justice UK

When you face the legal system alone, the toughest challenge is often not knowing where you stand. Our independent case reviews provide you with a clear and unbiased assessment of your legal situation: identifying its strengths and weaknesses, outlining your realistic options, and detailing the practical next steps. This service is a central aspect of the self-representation support we offer.

Request a case review

Who it is for

You are representing yourself and need to understand your real position. After being let down by a firm, a court, or a process, you seek an independent view through independent case reviews. If you cannot afford a solicitor or desire a second opinion before making that investment, self-representation support can guide you. Ultimately, you need to decide whether to fight on, settle, or stop.

What you get

An independent case review of your key documents and the history of your case. This includes a written strategic legal case assessment that outlines where you stand, the risks you face, the options available to you, and the next steps. You'll receive clear guidance on accessing regulated legal advice or specialist help when your case requires it. Expect straightforward answers from experts who understand how the system works from the inside and who have navigated it themselves, offering valuable self-representation support.

Who carries them out

Independent case reviews are conducted by Edward Romain ACILEX, the Founder and CEO of Blind Justice UK, which is regulated by CILEX, alongside the dedicated Blind Justice team. Our extensive legal case assessments have been recognized as written evidence by the Justice Select Committee and have been featured by Joshua Rozenberg in the Law Society Gazette, further supporting our commitment to self-representation support.

Independent case reviews are offered for a modest fee. Depending on your circumstances and our capacity, we also provide reduced-fee and pro bono options. We strive to be transparent about any costs associated with our legal case assessments before we begin, so you are fully informed about your self-representation support.

An independent case review from Blind Justice is a strategic case assessment we provide in our role as a registered charity focused on access to justice support. This review does not serve as legal advice and should not be treated as such. If your situation requires regulated legal advice, we will inform you and assist you in finding the necessary support for self-representation.
